New York is one the most emblematic cities (if not the top one) of United States of America. The Big Apple as it became to be known, is alive 24/7 and that is something hard to cope with if you are not used to it. My visit was short, a quick a stopover of 2 nights just to get a…

TravelAround: Belfast, Northern Ireland
Belfast, Ireland has always been one of those youth dream destinations. If you were born in the 70s or the 80s, you are more than certain to have influences from this northern sea country: I lived most of my high school and college with U2 as a soundtrack, while drinking Guinness or Jameson when with friends. Belfast, is the Northern…
TravelAround: Malmö, Sweden
Malmö is the capital city of the Scania district, in the southern part of Sweden. With a population of approximately 300.000 inhabitants, Malmö is the third largest city in Sweden and the fifth of Scandinavia. Once a big industrial area, Malmö struggled with the adaptation to the post-industrialism. The construction of the Øresund Bridge, brought a new life to the region,…
TravelAround: Copenhagen, Denmark [#pitstop]
While travelling to Sweden, I had the opportunity to go for a quick visit to Copenhagen, capital city of Denmark. Making the quick visit of no more than 3 hours, proved to be a worthwhile investment. The Sun was out, although the wind made the experience a bit uncomfortable. From CPH (Copenhagen airport), it takes 12 minutes to reach Central Station, located at Copenhagen…
Cheap DIY solution for humidity-safe storage
If you are a lover of seascape photography, or love to be outside shooting when the weather is rough (a.k.a. the landscape photographer’s favorite weather), you should consider having some sort of humidity-safe storage for your gear. Of course you can throw in money at it, and buy a humidity controlled cabinet, but if you prefer spending cash in some other way,…
Continental Europe most western point: Cabo da Roca – Sunset session coming up!
Cabo da Roca is the most western point of continental Europe. Located in Portugal, 30 km away from Lisboa, the capital city and at the base of the Sintra Mountain. ALERT: Before going any further, please do not take lightly the following disclosure: The location I am about to describe involves single tracts, fishermen trails and high cliffs. This is usually…
Travelaround: Antwerp, Belgium
Disclaimer: I have lived for a while in the Netherlands and loved it. For that reason, there is a strong possibility that my visit to Antwerp has been tinted positively by that experience. Antwerp is the second biggest city in Belgium and the capital of the Antwerp district in the region of Flanders. With of one of the biggest…
Algés, Portugal morning session
The session Early spring, warm weather and dull sky. That would be the best description for the morning session I had yesterday at Algés, Lisbon, Portugal. Being quite close to my home, meant I could spend a couple more minutes in bed while I checked the weather forecast. In a lot more words it went: DULL. When this happens, we must make the…
ruim photo sessions ALPHA series VLOG
Creating a VLOG is something I have been trying to take off for a while. I really appreciate the work and vlogs of some great photographers out there (here are three of my frequent watched list):
I feel that video is a great way of sharing information and specially the all the action of a session.
That said, I have started to make some short videos during my sessions and started what I am calling ALPHA series (alpha definition) .
They are very basic, shaky, speech is lame, etc, etc., I have struggled with myself if I should release them or not, as I like to show only my best work; but in the end I hope that on one hand, this will encourage people to share more! It doesn’t have to be perfect. On the other hand, your feedback will certainly speed up my evolution into becoming better.
Comment, feedback and/or ask questions will be a great help for me to evolve the channel and I would really appreciate it if you could drop some lines and/or like the video and subscribe the channel.. 🙂
Thank you!!
TravelAround: Europe – Barcelona, Spain
Having a geographical distributed team (#MSPFE), spread through Europe, has many advantages. I will not get into many details right now, but for the sake of this article, there is a relevant one: when you gather the team, well… some of us have to travel. This time I was one of the selected therefore having to travel to the gathering point –…
